Help us renew Philippi Park by participating in the OPAL Open.

Our goal is to support the local community by inviting everyone in the family to participate in a season-long fishing tournament. We aim to bring economic growth to Wasco, Sheridan, Umatilla, and Gilliam Counties by encouraging anglers to camp and fish along the Columbia and John Day Rivers. With your support, we hope to raise $5,000 by the conclusion of the contest. All proceeds from the competition will go directly into the restoration of Philippi Park.

The OPAL Open Fishing Tournament runs from May 23rd to September 2nd, 2025, providing ample opportunity for anglers to participate and contribute to our cause. Anglers may fish anywhere along the John Day River and between Bonneville and McNary Dams on the Columbia River.
